What we collect

Episodo collects the minimum data needed to function:

  • Account info: Email address (for sign-in), optional name and avatar from Google profile if you sign in with OAuth.
  • Watchlist: Which shows you track, their status, your progress, optional ratings — only you and the users you allow can see this.
  • Feedback: Bug reports, suggestions, and messages you send us.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell data to third parties.
  • We don't show ads.
  • We don't track unrelated browsing activity.
  • We don't build personalized advertising profiles.

Cookies and analytics

Episodo always uses the strictly necessary cookies the site needs to operate (e.g. your session). Beyond that, we have an opt-in Google Analytics 4 integration so we can see how Episodo is being used.

  • On your first visit a cookie preferences card appears at the bottom of the screen.
  • If you reject, no analytics fire — under Google Consent Mode v2 every ad_storage / analytics_storage category stays "denied".
  • If you accept, anonymized page views, IP and browser metadata are sent to Google Analytics. We use this only to understand product usage; we don't share it with third parties and we don't run ads.
  • You can reset your choice anytime from your browser's devtools console with localStorage.removeItem('episodo-consent-v1') and the banner will reappear.

Where data lives

Supabase (EU-hosted PostgreSQL). The same data is mirrored to the extension's IndexedDB on your device (local-first).

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from the extension or the website at any time.

  • Email aturkkan94@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account".
  • Or submit the feedback form with topic "Delete my account".

All your data is removed within 30 days of the request.
